Anna Van Vleet is a lighting designer for theatre, dance, music, and Theatre for Young Audiences. She has designed all across the greater Seattle area, including Taproot Theatre Acting Studio, Theatre Northwest, and Village Theatre KIDSTAGE. She holds BFA degrees in both Design/Technical and Acting/Directing from Pacific Lutheran University. Her diverse background in music, dance, and performance makes her a skilled interdisciplinary collaborator.

 

As an artist and educator, she prioritizes accessibility and collaboration throughout every step of the creative process. With an aesthetic bent towards the vibrant and whimsical, and a deep passion for educational theatre, she especially enjoys designing for children’s theatre. She is currently pursuing her MFA in Lighting Design at the University of Houston.
